Application Time:

Generally, it can be applied in two parts โ€“
1) Joint Application (can be applied to 6 universities simultaneously)
2) Separate Application

๐Ÿฅ€ Joint Application/ Rolling Application:


Joint application for September session admission is opened every year in January (3-17 January this year 2024). Joint application means you can apply to up to six-degree programs in a single application.

โš ๏ธ Several universities keep the application period for some of their degree programs open even in September (this year 28 August 2024 - 11 September 2024).

๐Ÿฅ€Separate Application/ Rolling
Some universities keep the application period for their degree programs open outside of the joint application period. In separate applications, the application period may vary greatly depending on the program.

๐ŸŒปHow to Apply:

How and when you apply depends on the degree program. Study info. One can choose the programs of choice by visiting the fi website, after choosing, check the application duration and other admission-related details at that particular university.


๐Ÿ’ฒScholarship:

1) For Bachelors:
No scholarship is awarded for the first year, but students can get an Early Bird Scholarship/discount, the percentage of which varies from university to university (15% to 50% discount on first-year tuition fees).  Those who will get this discount, usually have to send the fee within 7-14 days of receiving the offer letter.

2) For Masters: Scholarship for Masters students depends on their CGPA, letter of motivation, IELTS, SAT score, job, research experience, etc.  Masters students can get up to 100% scholarship.

๐Ÿ’ฑBank Statement:
The applicant has to show 6720 euros in his bank account. This money must be in the student's/applicant's account.

๐Ÿ“Sponsor:
Anyone can be a sponsor, it is not necessary to be blood-related to be a sponsor. The sponsor can transfer funds from his account to the applicant's account. Sponsor must provide 6 months Bangkok Statement.

๐Ÿ“œPost Study Work Visa:
After completing a bachelor's or master's degree in Finland, you will receive a post-study work visa with a validity of two years. During this time the Finnish government allows you to look for a job.

๐ŸŒปPR:
1) The applicant must have lived in Finland for 4 years.
2) It is not necessary to know the Finnish language!
3) Applicants should earn 1250 euros per month excluding taxes.
4) Employment is not compulsory in the field in which the study was done.

1) Is IELTS required for a Finland student visa?
- Of course not! You can get into a Finnish university without IELTS by passing the Entrance Exam. But in the case of individual application, IELTS, Job experience, and even in some cases SAT score is needed!

2) Is it expensive to live in Finland?
-The cost of living in Finland is moderate compared to other European countries, which can be around 400-600 euros.

3) Can I work while studying in Finland?
-Yes, while studying, you will be allowed to work a maximum of 30 hours per week. After you finish your studies, you will be allowed to work full-time.

4) How many years of study gap is acceptable for application in Finland?
The gap is not an issue in Finland, even with a gap of 10/15 years, admission and visa are getting!

5) How can I apply to study in Finland?
-Most applications are made online through the Studyinfo dot Fi portal.

6) What is the cost of studying in Finland?
-Tuition fees can range from 5,000 to 15,000 euros per year depending on the university and degree program.

7) Is it easier to become a satellite in Finland compared to other European countries?
-Yes, because work permit/PR/citizenship in Finland does not require a study field-related job.

8) Can I take my parents to Finland?
-Yes, but only on a visit visa.
